I thought I should bring this up also , I have been informed by some clients that have gotten nannies from Craigs list and have had terrible , scary experiances with the nannies they hire off Craigs List , as an agency owner I think we should inform the public how important it is to go through an agency that has done background checks and has all information on nannies , its so important for a family to know that the nannies from bonded and insured agencies have done the backgrounds and know their nannies personally and can tell the client every detail about the person that will be caring for their children , thats what an agency does .

The so called nannies on Craigs list should have to prove who they are and show references that check out , for example a client told me she hired a nanny off of craigs list to care for her infant she brought her into her home and the women ended up stealing from her and brought over strange people while she was gone , she found out but it was too late the women had an alias and there was nothing she could do , if she would have went through an agency this would have never have happenend at least not with my agency !! Just food for thought .

I hope parents read this before hiring someone that is not from an agency.
