Not every business decision is black and white.
Would you hire a candidate from another agency? Should you tell a colleague about something concerning you’ve learned? When does healthy competition cross the line? Is something legally permissible, but still professionally inappropriate?
The household staffing industry is built on relationships, reputation, and trust, yet some of the most important decisions agency owners make aren’t covered by contracts, employment law, or an operations manual. They require judgment.
Join Dulany Dent (The Nanny Network), Jami Dennis (ABC Nannies), Susan Cornish (Jovie), and Erika Slade (E-Nanny) for one of the conference’s most interactive and thought-provoking conversations. Together, these experienced agency owners will tackle real ethical dilemmas that agencies face every day, exploring the gray areas where business strategy, professional courtesy, and personal values often collide.
This isn’t a panel about telling you what’s right or wrong. It’s an opportunity to examine challenging scenarios from multiple perspectives, hear how respected industry leaders would respond, and engage in meaningful dialogue with fellow agency owners who have faced similar situations.
Bring your toughest questions and your most challenging experiences. Whether you’ve navigated candidate poaching, confidential information, referral agreements, mentorship boundaries, fee disputes, client transitions, or competitive business practices, this session is designed to foster honest conversation rather than easy answers.
You’ll leave with practical frameworks for evaluating difficult situations, greater confidence in your decision-making, and a deeper appreciation for the role ethics plays in protecting not only your agency, but the integrity of our profession.
