Our members are brick and mortar agencies that are the best of the best. APNA invests a lot of time making sure that our members are meeting the rigorous standards that APNA has set forth in making sure that children and families have the best care possible. We meet our applicants in person (when possible). We run thorough background checks in every county in which the applicant has lived. These background searches are much more rigorous than any on-line searches. We call the candidate’s references and spend time getting to know both our families and candidates to help make a match that will last. We go well beyond what an on-line listing service can offer. We build relationships with our candidates and families, and in turn, families get candidates who are the best match for their busy households.
