Biography

Briana’s journey to agency owner may be a bit different than others’. She has many years of professional childcare experience, including nannying, but this wasn’t her intended career. Her doorway to being a dentist with a unique business plan supporting women and children slammed shut. While grieving her lost dream, Briana’s husband searched to find another business that meshed with her values. All pitches were rebuffed until her husband approached her with “Tell me, what is more supportive of women and children than back-up childcare?” Briana has spent the last 4 years growing On Call Nanny into a company that she’s proud to own by asking “How does this decision impact women and children?” before every business decision. Operating in the Seattle and San Francisco areas, On Call Nanny specializes in back-up care serving 3 networks, a handful of private corporations, and thousands of private clients since 2006. Outside of OCN, Briana is the board president of her neighborhood community council, she volunteers with her daughter’s Girl Scout troop, plays competitive volleyball, loves to travel the globe, and has a tendency to dive into random hobbies & projects like beekeeping, electrical, and jewelry making. She’s grateful that she gets to raise 2 practically perfect angelic demons and that her husband loves to cook, because she really doesn’t.
