Recognizing and Eliminating Implicit Bias while Becoming the Inclusive + Equitable™ Agency Your Diverse Caregivers Deserve

We all have unconscious biases. It helps us to react in times of danger as well as establishes a sense of security for us, but our biases can also marginalize, isolate, and ostracize others, which ultimately hinders relationships, environments, and everyday business. In this session participants will examine implicit bias, discuss how the unconscious mind works and elaborate on why understanding implicit bias is important not only for relationship building, effective communication, and breaking down common cultural barriers that exist in the workplace, organizations, and society. We will also introduce the business case, discuss effective ways to talk about race and bias issues, identify strategies to reduce harmful biases in hiring, career development, and team dynamics.
